VOLYA FILMS is a Rotterdam based film production company that produces high quality feature films, documentaries and animations for the national and international market, mainly as international co-productions. Our films tell unexpected stories with an original style or perspective. Recent titles are YOUTH (SPRING) (Wang Bing, 2023, Official Competition Festival de Cannes), LUKA (Jessica Woodworth, 2023, Big Screen Competition IFFR 2023), ARNOLD IS A MODEL STUDENT (2022, Sorayos Prapapan, Locarno Film Festival Cineasti del presente selection 2022, IFFR 2023, Winner Grand Prix Five Flavours Asian Film Festival), and TOTEM (Sander Burger, 2022, Opening Film Cinekid Festival, Winner Audience Award Best Film Cinekid 2022, Winner JEF Audience Award, Winner Grand Jury Award New York Children’s Film Festival).
Volya Films is a member of the EAVE, Eurodoc, and ACE networks and is a member of the NAPA.

DENIS VASLIN
Producer
Born and raised in France, Denis Vaslin has a background in distribution and production, before moving to The Netherlands in 2000. After four years working as line producer (a.o. for THE TULSE LUPER SUITCASES by Peter Greenaway), he started Volya Films. Denis is a graduate of the Binger Lab in 2004, EAVE 2006 and EURODOC 2007. He is a member of the European Film Academy. He is also member of the Produire au Sud pedagogical team from the 3 Continents Festival in Nantes/France. In 2011, he created Mandra Films in France.
FLEUR KNOPPERTS
Producer
Fleur Knopperts is producer at Volya Films since 2009. Previously, she was Director of the FORUM for international co-financing of documentaries at IDFA in Amsterdam, was co-ordinator of the Jan Vrijman Fund (now IDFA Bertha Fund) and she was Industry & Marketplace Director at Sheffield Doc/Fest. She is a graduate of the EAVE and Eurodoc programmes.
