VOLYA FILMS is a Rotterdam-based film production company producing feature films, documentaries, and animations for the Dutch and international market. Our films shed light on stories from around the world that haven’t been told before through a lens scarcely ever looked through.
Recent titles are YOUTH (SPRING, HARD TIMES, HOMECOMING) (Wang Bing, Palme d’Or Competition Cannes 2023, International Competition Locarno 2024, Golden Lion Competition Venice Film Festival 2024), CITY OF WIND (Lkhagvadulam Purev-Ochir, Orrizonti Award for Best Actor Venice Film Festival 2023) and TOTEM (Sander Burger, Opening Film Cinekid Festival 2022, Winner of 17 Awards and selected for 27 festivals).
Volya Films is a member of NAPA, the ACE, EAVE and Eurodoc networks, and the European Film Academy.

DENIS VASLIN
Producer
​Denis Vaslin, born and raised in France, worked as a distributor and line producer before founding Volya Films in 2004. He is an alumnus of Eurodoc, EAVE and ACE, and a member of the European Film Academy.
FLEUR KNOPPERTS
Producer
Fleur Knopperts worked at several festivals, including IDFA and the Sheffield Doc/Fest until she joined Volya Films in 2009. She is an alumnus of the EAVE and Eurodoc programmes. Since then she has produced fiction features, creative documentaries and animation.
