Zondagskinderen

In the spring of 1971, the patriarchal community of Staphorst is struck by a polio outbreak, with half of the village refusing to be vaccinated. When it becomes clear that one person's freedom poses a danger to another, neighbors and family members find themselves in direct opposition. As the deadly virus claims its first victims among helpless children, it is the mothers who rise to action.
